Thanks to each family (Auxiliary, Sons & Riders) for donating $1500 each toward the new stools, and thank you to Phil Hildreth for making this happen. We will also be replacing the flooring in the bar. Quotes for the floor are currently being solicited.
The Army/Navy game netted just over $2500.00. Donations will be made to Feed Our Vets $1000, American Legion Baseball $750 and the remainder to go toward the new bar stools and floor for the lounge. Many thanks to Joe Pitre and his crew for running a great event.

American Legion Boys’ State is a week-long program that immerses high school youth (currently completing their junior year) in citizenship and leadership training. They learn the practical aspects of government as it exists in New York State, and come to recognize that the individual is integral to the character and success of government. They also participate in physical fitness, team work and other activities under the guidance of American Legion counselors and U.S. Marines.
The purpose of Girls State is to provide to high school Juniors across the State the opportunity to create and govern a 51st mythical state. Girls are chosen by the Units after interviewing the candidates. Consideration is given to scholastic achievements, leadership, character, honesty and physical fitness. They learn the duties, privileges, rights and responsibilities of American citizenship in this week-long, hands-on workshop in government.
The door threshold at the banquet entrance will be re-done in the Spring to make it easier for wheelchairs and walkers
